Hell Is For Hyphenates is a film podcast that has been running since 2010. Previous guests have included Edgar Wright, Luca Guadagnino, Lynn Shelton, Andrew Kevin Walker, Julia Zemiro, Christos Tsiolkas and many more. Guests join the show to talk not about their own work, but the work of a filmmaker they love! This recording of the 100th episode features special guest Greg McLean discussing the filmography of Ridley Scott. A free event.

Greg McLean is the director of MIFF 2017 Opening Night film Jungle as well as The Belko Experiment, which also screened at MIFF in 2017. He wrote and directed the Australian horror classic Wolf Creek, which MIFF screened in 2004, as also wrote and directed Rogue (2007), Wolf Creek 2 (2013) and The Darkness (2016). He has produced most of his own films and his executive producer credits include MIFF 2016 Centrepiece Gala film Down Under, and Red Hill, which MIFF screened in 2010.
Rochelle Siemienowicz is a film critic, editor and columnist. She has a PhD in Australian cinema, and was film editor at The Big Issue and editor at the AFI | ACTAA. She has written on film for The Age, Kill Your Darlings, ScreenHub, Lumina and at SBS Movies. Her memoir, Fallen, was released in 2015 by Affirm Press.
Lee Zachariah is a writer, journalist and performer. He co-hosted the ABC film comedy series The Bazura Project, and has written on cinema for numerous Australian and international publications. He has written for The Chaser and Shaun Micallef’s Mad As Hell, and is currently a producer on The Project. His debut book, Double Dissolution, was released by Echo Publishing in 2016.
