Down in the bayous of southern Louisiana, rock ‘n' roll came to a halt in the early 60s and meshed with country and Dixie blues, giving birth to swamp pop - a combination of lovelorn lyrics, jangling honky-tonk pianos, undulating bass lines, bellowing horn sections and a strong rhythm and blues backbeat; all summed by one musician as “white guys playing black music damn good”.

Now swamp legend C.C. Adcock and filmmaker Matthew Wilkinson head back to the bayous to recruit a handpicked who's who of the genre - including the godfather of swamp Warren Storm - to join the Li'l Band of Gold, a swamp pop super-group with an unforgettable set-list.
