Produced for the World Health Organisation in extension of the findings and publications of its Expert Committee, this animated film is an enquiry into the nature, use and abuse of alcohol, tracing the historical and social aspects of this controversial subject without undue emphasis on its horrors and with amusing detachment. Essentially objective in its approach, the film acts as a sounding board for opinion as well as giving the medically accurate facts.
