Summer's End

A tomboy in Arkansas finds it hard going when she attempts to resist the socialising process. Set In the summer of 1948 the film introduces us to I l-year-old Kathy whose ambitions are to be a pirate captain, Tarzan or at least the marbles champion. Her mother wants her to cut off her pigtails and get a permanent wave, so she'll be normal. Will she succumb to the pressure to conform?
