After appearing in Roman Polanski's Rosemary's Baby, actor Elmer Modlin became a reclusive shut-in, with his artist wife Margaret and son Nelson. Thirty years later, the family's photos suddenly appeared on the footpath, like a jigsaw puzzle waiting for someone to come along and piece together "a story for the Modlins".
