Co-presented with the National Film and Sound Archive

Michael Loebenstein (CEO of the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia) examines the implications of the restoration and completion of one of the 20th century's most significant documentary films.

How can we contextualise the atrocities filmed seven decades ago, and situate this landmark documentary in its historical context, and in memory culture at large? With Toby Haggith, Senior Curator Imperial War Museums (London); Rabbi Aviva Kipen; multi-award winning journalist Thom Cookes; and Helen Lewis, author and daughter of armed forces cameraman Mike Lewis who filmed at the Belsen concentration camp.
