A man stumbles upon a wallet and finds himself on a perilous journey towards economic turmoil.

Inspired by his time working at the Federal Reserve of New York, American filmmaker Aaron Hughes takes a cheerful swipe at the pitfalls of mass consumerism with this imaginative short, featuring amazingly detailed animation that was hand-drawn onto the market-data pages of the nation’s venerable rags: The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and the Financial Times. Five Cents won the Audience Award for Animated Shorts at SXSW.
