"An impressive coming-of-age feature about female friendship, fatal feuds and family friction in post-Soviet Georgia." - Hollywood Reporter

For 14-year-olds Eka and Natia, growing up in Tbilisi in 1992 is not easy. With the Soviet Union's collapse still reverberating, the best friends also need to contend with troubled parents and ever-present threats of violence. But amongst the chaos, the girls, separated by class, live out their lives: they go to school, gossip, clash with students, form crushes on others and find shelter in friendship.

Replete with music and rhythm and warmth, and featuring radiant performances from the two young leads, In Bloom is an intimate, deeply engaging story of friendship between women destined for different fates in a world of male-driven violence.

"Georgia's reputation as the latest cinematic hotspot for emerging talent is enhanced further by In Bloom." - Variety
