Major films included Fellini's 8 ½, Georges Franju's Thérèse Desqueyroux, based upon the novel of the same name, Ingmar Bergman's So Close to Life, Luis Buñuel's Exterminating Angel and Yasujiro Ozu's An Autumn Afternoon
